November 26 proved to be a momentous night for Julianne. After being nominated in 7 categories at this year’s Awit Awards (held at Eastwood City), Julianne went home winning the 2 most major awards of the night: Best Performance by a New Female Recording Artist for “Grateful” and Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist for “Tulak ng Bibig”. Her other nominations were: Song of the Year for “Tulak ng Bibig”, Best World/Alternative/Bossa Music for “Empty Chairs”, Best Inspirational for “Grateful”, and Best Jazz Recording for “Grateful”.
The second award, in particular, came as a complete surprise. Julianne beat other big names in the music industry such as Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo and Kylaafterall.
