Julianne has been touring around Asia with the SING OUT ASIA group of artists since 2008. SING OUT ASIA is a non-profit organization that desires to see the youth in Asia united in hearts, and solving problems like poverty, discrimination, corruption, drug use, environmental pollution together. SOA brings a group of artists from all around Asia that travel around together with a leadership training camp to foster friendship and trust among the Asian youth.
This year's stops are "TIP OF BORNEO MUSIC FESTIVAL" Sabah, Malaysia and
TANSUI PARK, Taipei, Taiwan.
November 26 proved to be a momentous night for Julianne. After being nominated in 7 categories at this year’s Awit Awards (held at Eastwood City), Julianne went home winning the 2 most major awards of the night: Best Performance by a New Female Recording Artist for “Grateful” and Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist for “Tulak ng Bibig”. Her other nominations were: Song of the Year for “Tulak ng Bibig”, Best World/Alternative/Bossa Music for “Empty Chairs”, Best Inspirational for “Grateful”, and Best Jazz Recording for “Grateful”.
The second award, in particular, came as a complete surprise. Julianne beat other big names in the music industry such as Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo and Kylaafterall.
Julianne’s debut album entitled “Grateful” is still out in the market (available on itunes).This double win only inspires her even more to start working on her next release . Watch out for that!
